Community Gives Christmas at the College a Raving Review
On December 6, Bethany presented its second annual Christmas at the College, a musical event featuring Bethany’s Crosswind chorale, the Sussex Middle School choir, and a mass community choir.
Because of last year’s tremendous response, two concerts were held this year with over 1,600 in attendance. People were treated to a high quality, engaging concert that gave a clear proclamation of the Gospel through the Christ of Christmas.
After the concert many positive comments were received including an email from a friend of the College who wrote the following about his friends who had attended, “They were overwhelmed by the evening. I don’t think that you realize the power of the presentation in the community! It truly was worth your efforts!”
In addition to using this free event to share the good news of the Gospel, the College wanted to assist those less fortunate. Those who attended the concert were encouraged to bring non-perishable goods for the Sussex Sharing Club, a local food pantry. People were very generous and brought an abundance of items, as well as donating over $370 in cash. What a great blessing to those who are struggling to have food on their table!
Christmas at the College is becoming a favourite event for the Sussex area, and Bethany is very pleased to be able to bless others in this way.
